Well last night Luke and I went to see the new addition to the Bacon Family. Little Joshua Bacon looks just like his daddy. What a doll baby. Luke was very interested in how Joshua came out of Jill's belly.
First question. Did they unzip Jill's belly and pull him out?
My answer, no he came out of his mommy another way. - pause and a oh ok.
Second question. Did he come out with clothes on? No babies come out naked. This must have been very disturbing to him because he asked this question numerous times and even while we were in the room with Jill and Tony.
Third question/statement. Wasn't the baby cold?
My answer - Not while he was in Jill's belly but when he came out he was and they put clothes on him.
Fourth question/statement - When I have a baby in my belly will the baby come out naked too?
Answer - Boys dont have babies just girls.
Fifth Questions - How did babies get in your tummy???
Answer - God puts them there.
You guys get the idea... He kept asking these same questions again and again and again. I waiting for him to ask even more details because his mind works like his dads... Perhaps an engineer?? Lawyer?? Who knows but I am not ready to have the birds and bees conversation with a 4 year old... I don't want to make up a lie but there is only so much information he needs to know at this point.
Anyway, he loved being around the baby.
Gotta run the kids are about done with breakfast...Pancake day so I need to pay more attention of they will have syrup all over the place!
